‘116 Brompton Road’s brand new look…
116 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge SW3
OneOneSix’s refurbishment has completely transformed the existing building. From the new façade to the roof and rear extensions, the development provides tenants with exemplary modern standards, both inside and out. With its exceptional attention to detail and neutral palette of high-quality materials, OneOneSix is a carefully considered response to its unique location. Developed with a future-focused commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability in mind. Positioned directly opposite Harrods, with multiple terraces providing stunning views of London’s most famous luxury retailer.
From its impressive double-height entrance to the elegant and comfortable reception area, OneOneSix makes visitors feel instantly at home. With wood and stone panelled walls, natural stone flooring and a feature staircase, it’s a place that creates the perfect first impression.
The building was entirely committed prior to its launch to market, securing lettings to St James’s Place Wealth Management and Elan Capital respectively. Showing the continued flight to quality and a positive endorsement to the Knightsbridge market from core occupiers, looking at this alternative discerning and luxurious sub-market in the West End.
"The working from home trend may be popular, but companies still want London offices, wealth manager St James’s Place showed as it signed for a new base. The FTSE 100 firm has agreed to take nearly 19,000 square feet of space at 116 Brompton Road, a recently refurbished property. A hedge fund, which was not named, is also taking 8267 square feet at APML Estate’s building. Around 150 St James’s Place staff will relocate to the new Knightsbridge site later this year from one of the firm’s five existing London offices which it is due to exit. A company spokesman said: “We are a face-to-face wealth management company and while our staff and partner practices have embraced remote working, the ability to have access to office space and to meet with clients in person remains core to our business.”"
– Joanna Burke - Evening Standard (July 20)
“This year has really highlighted the value of a collaborative environment for people to get together and see each-other face to face. Not just colleagues but also with our clients, which is why this space is so much more than just an office for us – it really will be a hub of creativity, energy and most importantly, strong relationships, In a world where people are shifting to working more remotely there is a shift in demand for clients wanting to meet their advisers in an office environment which is why we wanted to create a professional and welcoming environment that we can be proud of.""
– Nigel Harwood, Head of Business - St James's Place
The focus on wellbeing and sustainability is clear throughout the office space. “Wellbeing has been at the heart of design decisions in Knightsbridge,” explains Sophie Hayward, Corporate Real Estate Project Manager. “Effort has been made to bring the enclosed spaces around the core to give greater access to the natural light, multi-faith and a separate wellbeing room have also been provisioned as well as a large breakout facility to encourage breaks away from the desk.”
